Scattered showers Monday, mostly sunny Tuesday

Santo Domingo.- The N ational Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing downpours Monday over the East, South, Southwest and central regions, from the humidity in the atmosphere.

It said the higher than normal waves will continue along the Atlantic coast, for which small craft should remain in port, while those along the Caribbean coast and Samana Bay can navigate near shore.

Onamet said a high pressure system will arrive over the entire Caribbean on, with low probability of precipitation Tuesday and Wednesday.

It adds however that the prevailing east winds could bring widely scattered showers over the eastern coastal plain, the northeast region, and the eastern part of the Cibao Valley.
