Medina cuts ribbons on 9 schools cost RD$232.0M in the South

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Monday headed ribbon cutting for nine schools in Peravia Province (south), built at a cost of RD$232.0 million, and which will be added to the full-day program.

Medina inaugurated the 14-classrooms elementary school at Villa Mella, a high school at Cruce de Ocoa and the expansion of the Ernestina Tejeda High School to 28 classrooms, whose construction was headed by the Public Works Ministry.

In the keynote speech Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo said the country feels a "profound" faith in a future of well-being. “Never in our history have we carried out a school construction program like this."

Eduaction minister Carlos Amarante accompanied Medina in the inaugurals.
