NYC buildings collapse kills 2, injures 60 in sector with many Dominicans

New York.- As collapse of two buildings in Harlem Wednesday has killed two women and injured as many as 30 people, after an explosion from a suspected gas leak, local media report.
CNN reports that New York utility Con Edison had been called to the site in East Harlem to check a possible gas leak just before the explosion.
It said one person sustained "serious trauma" and is being treated at a nearby hospital.
East Harlem is home to many Dominican nationals, together with Spanish Harlem and nearby Washington Heights.
