Dominican Today turns 9

Santo Domingo.- Nine years ago today Avishai Harel (Avi) and his family started this news source to fill a void in current and varied information about this country, where like many visitors who came here just as tourists, he ended up making it their home.

Our pledge for the next nine years is to continue to provide the most balanced news about the country and, to the best of our ability, help our readers here and abroad understand its particular society.
