Puerto Rico agents bust local man with 1,400K cocaine

San Juan.- Puerto Rican authorities arrested a Dominican national Thursday, after seizing from him more than 1,400 kilos of cocaine aboard a 40 foot boat, EFE reports.

Authorities detailed that Leonardo Pérez Mesón was arrested since its launch seven to the seashore sector Recio, the neighborhood Guardarraya, in Patillas, town to the South of Puerto Rico.

They said police acted on a tip and also seized a vehicle, although several people who had accompanied Pérez managed to escape.

In a statement, the authorities said United Rapid Action Force (FURA) and FBI agents at Guayama continue the investigation on the site of detention.
