Medina cuts ribbons on 11 full-day schools in ‘Education Revolution’

Santiago.- President Danilo Medina Tuesday morning cut the ribbons for 11 schools with 156 classrooms that will form part of the full-day program, built at a cost of RD$441.3 million, in a ceremony held at the subdivision La Otra Banda.

Education minister Carlos Amarante said the education revolution starts being a reality in Santiago, where more than a1,000 new classrooms will be included in the full-day teaching.

He said the signing of the Pact for Education is evidence that the education revolution is irreversible. "Today we begin to reap the fruits in Santiago with the inaugural of these 11 schools which in turn incorporate 156 new classrooms."
