Border Security shreds cigarettes smuggled from Haiti

SD.- In a ceremony at Defense Ministry headquarters, Dominican Republic’s Border Security Agency (CESFRONT) on Thursday shredded thousands of packs of cigarettes smuggled from Haiti.

CESFRONT commander Santo Domingo Guerrero Clase said the cigarettes were seized in operations over the past weeks.

The shredding took place in the presence of government and military officials in the front of the Ministry’s Intelligence Directorate (j-2).
