Drug-traffickers’ properties worth RD$211.4M on auction today

Santo Domingo.- Real estate properties and other belongings worth millions of dollars go on the auction block today, including nine apartments, seven lots, three houses, 11 motor vehicles, luxury watches and a catamaran, seized form money laundering and drug trafficking convicts Quirino Paulino and José Figueroa August.

The National Anti-money Laundering Committee (CONCLA) said the auction of the properties worth around RD$211.4 million will be held at the Justice Ministry starting 10am.

The properties include apartments seized from Quirino and others seized from Figueroa, some of them in the luxury condo, Alco Paradisso.

The vehicles include three Ferraris, a Porsche and a Mercedes Benz, as well as BMW, Land Rover, Land Cruiser, Cherokee and Ford SUVs and a Ford pickup, value at RD$18.5 million.
