Drills aim to fix flaws in 911 emergency service

Santo Domingo.- National Emergency Service and Safety System (911) director Dalvert Polanco on Monday said 32 drills have been conducted in Greater Santo Domingo thus far, where police and firefighters’ response satisfactory and even above expectations.

The official said the drills will fix any flaws detected in communications and in some technological resources, and that the emergency rooms in 10 hospitals were remodelled to provide quality care.

Polanco added that among the first of the emergency rooms upgraded to work with 911 figure the Billini hospital in the Colonial Zone.
