Pope Francis to receive Dominican President: El Dia

Santo Domingo.- Pope Francis will receive president Danilo Medina in private audience at the Vatican on June 13 , one of the few granted to Latin American leaders unless they coincide with other events.

The head of the Catholic Church received several Central American leaders in late April, when they attended the canonization of popes John XXIII and John Paul II.

Although the Presidency has yet to officially confirm the date of the audience, outlet eldia.com.do reports the meeting, citing sources, including in the Vatican.
