Embattled judge faces questions in contempt of court charge

Santo Domingo.- Judge Margarita Cristo will be questioned 9am Tuesday by National District Court of Appeals prosecutor Jose Sepúlveda, into her complaint of contempt of court against prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso.

The alleged contempt of court came during a hearing headed by Cristo, in the embezzlement case against former Public Works minister Víctor Díaz Rúa.

In the coming days, Diaz’s attorneys, who were present during the hearing, are also expected to be questioned.
