Medina off to the Vatican for audience with the Pope

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will depart to the Vatican Wednesday night and will have a special audience with Pope Francis 10:30am Friday, 6:30am local.

Medina will travel aboard an Air Europe flight scheduled to take off 8:15am from Las Americas International Airport, accompanied by several senior officials.

The Presidency said the Head of State is slated to return to the country Sunday afternoon.
