Brewster visits two key opposition leaders

Santo Domingo.- U.S. ambassador James Brewster on Wednesday made separate visits to former president Hipolito Mejia, and to opposition PRD party president Miguel Vargas, to discuss several issues.

The diplomat visited the former President –who was recently ousted from the PRD- for around one hour at his residence in the upscale sector of La Julia, and talked politics, economics and culture of both nations in general.

Brewster also visited Vargas, and discussed the links of cooperation that can be enhanced between Washington and Santo Domingo.
