New U.S. Embassy works at ‘100%’, strict security

Santo Domingo.- Amid strict security and without fanfare the U.S. Embassy on Monday started operations at its new complex on Colombia Av. in the Arroyo Hondo sector.

Eldia.com.do reports that despite initial complaints such as lack of parking, bathrooms and waiting areas, the people who went to obtain the various services said everything is much better and faster than before.

As many neighbors of the new facility predicted, the traffic is often chaotic, for which Public Works crews rearrange the area’s routes.

On the Embassy’s first day 100% of its services were being provided, including immigrant and tourist visas.
