President Medina congratulates Spain’s new king on coronation

Santo Domingo.– Dominican President Danilo Medina sent a letter to Felipe VI to congratulate him on being crowned King ofSpain, the Presidency website reported.

"The time is right to make the best wishes to both Your Majesty and Her Majesty Queen Letizia, so that you can exercise your respective functions with greatest success," Medina said in the letter, dated June 20.

He added: "We also hope to strengthen the relationships that have been cultivated for years between our countries."

According to Medina’s letter, Felipe VI’s values, careful training and new impetus "must be decisive for success in his new role in the continuation of the democratic principles held in Spain by His Majesty Juan Carlos I."
