U.S. Embassy, Consulate close Friday, July 4

Santo Domingo.- The U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Santo Domingo will close Friday, July 4, to mark the 238th Independence Day.

In a statement, the U.S. Embassy said a reception will be held at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in addition to several cultural activities.

It advises motorists in the area of possible congested traffic around Navarro St. and Henriquez Ureña Av. from 5pm to 7pm Thursday, when the U.S. Embassy’s Marine Corps contingent will hold a flag-hoisting ceremony.
