Scattered showers Fri., Sat., tapering off Sun.

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) forecast minimum rainfall Friday, while a tropical wave currently over eastern Puerto Rico will bring scattered showers to the East region starting tonight.

It said the southeast wind could bring showers to Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, Samana, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Dajabon and Elías Piña provinces.

ONAMET said the tropical wave will move away from the forecast area Sunday, when much of the Dominican Republic can expect a significant decrease in showers.
