Dominican Police to apply a “tough hand” against crime

Santo Domingo.- National Police chief Manuel Castro met with Capotillo residents to inaugurate, alongside Rural and Suburban Electrification Unit (UERS) chief Thelma Eusebio, a day of electrification with solar panels in that neighborhood.

Castro also urged to do a purge of police officers in Capotillo after the community denounced that many agents have been involved in criminal activities in the sector.

The Police chief said the Capotillo community will have more agents from now on to fight crime. He added the Police have been heavy-handed in dealing with crime across the country.
