Meeting between Medina and unions postponed again

Santo Domingo.- For the second time it was postponed, without new date, the meeting scheduled for Friday between President Danilo Medina and unions headed by Rafael (Pepe) Abreu.

The meeting between the representatives of the unions and the president will focus on a possible salary increase, an issue brought to the fore by the head of state himself. The meeting was scheduled for yesterday at 9:00 am at the National Palace.

Last week Medina told reporters that "a RD$10,000 salary is not a decent wage for a Dominican worker to live on."
