Gallup-Hoy poll: Crime still worries Dominicans the most

Santo Domingo.- Most citizens (64.4%) still say generalized crime in the main problem facing Dominicans, including burglaries, robberies and contract killings, according to the latest Gallup-Hoy survey.
The second issue cited among the three main concerns figure the country’s economy: inflation or the jump in the cost of living.
The third sport is along the same line, a lack of jobs.
The Gallup poll made from August 29 to September published by newspaper Hoy contacted 1,200 people nationwide, with a margin of error of 2.8%.
Other problems cited by the citizens include the blackouts, health, education, lack of potable water and government corruption.
