Welfare recipients to plant mahogany nationwide

El Seibo, Dominican Republic.- Beneficiaries of the progress with solidarity program (Prosoli) of the community Altos de Peguero (east) began planting the first 2,000 mahogany seedlings of a total of 500,000.
Vice president Margarita Cedeño headed the launch of the project A Shade with Dominican Value and urged all beneficiaries of the project that to plant ahogany in the yards of their homes to contribute with the flora and protect the environment
Accompanying Cedeño was Environment minister Bautista Rojas and Dominican Mahogany Consortium president Domingo Contreras, among other officials.
Rojas said all the beneficiaries of the program will take part in the planting across the country, “which secures the country’s future,” and improves the quality of life of all Dominicans.
