Medina orders talks to forge pact on energy sector

Santo Domingo.- A president Danilo Medina executive order announced Tuesday calls on the Economic, Social and Institutional Council (CESI), governmental agencies, ONGs, personalities and experts, to start the talks to forge of the Pact to Reform the National Power Sector.

Decree 389-14 appoints several senior economic area officials and CESI president Antonio Isa Conde to coordinate all methodology to approve and conduct the process, and completed within six months from the opening ceremony.

The Committee also includes the heads of Dominican Republic’s State-owned Electric Utility (CDEEE), the National Energy Commission and Superintendence of Electricity.
