US wants to replicate Dominican 9-1-1 system in other countries

Santo Domingo.– Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Luis Arreaga, met Friday with President Danilo Medina who expressed his interest to help expand the National Emergency Service and Safety System (9-1-1).

The official praised the emergency system and said the United States wants to help expand it to other countries in the area. He said that given its success, the system has potential for other countries to replicate it.

Arreaga also praised the work done by the Dominican Republic in the fight against drug trafficking, and said his country is very satisfied with the results. He expressed his willingness to continue to support the police and other agencies.
