Showers over much of the country, mild temperatures

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) forecasts showers over much of the country, especially the Northwest region, caused by a frontal system.

It said temperature will range from a high of 31º C to a low of 19° C.

Flash flooding, overflowing rivers and landslide alerts remain in effect for Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, Montecristi, La Vega, Monseñor Noel, Espaillat, Duarte (especially the Lower Yuna river basin), Maria Trinidad Sanchez and San Pedro provinces.

A Haitian citizen drowned in flooding from he latest downpours, which also injured one person and damaged homes in several towns near Puerto Plata, and the Central and Northwest regions.
