Over 33,000 young people trained in technical careers

Santo Domingo.– Education minister Carlos Amarante Baret said that because the ministry pays special attention to vocational education, so far the total number of students enrolled in career technical education programs is 33,791 (for the public sector) and 2,774 (semi-official) .

During his speech at the 18th International Congress "I Learn" 2014, sponsored by Action for Education (EDUCA) and entitled "Young RD: Education, Employment and Hope," Amarante said these students are being trained in 2,520 classrooms.

"As you have heard, the Educational Revolution started by our President Danilo Medina also addresses this important area of our education," the minister said.
