National Palace has its Christmas tree

Santo Domingo.- With a brief ceremony including a choir and the Navy Band president Danilo Medina lit the National Palace’s tradition Christmas tree.

First lady Candida Montilla, vice president Margarita Cedeño, Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo and Administrative minister José Ramón Peralta accompanied Medina on the steps of the Palace, where his wife threw the switch to light the Christmas tree and the various courtyards.

On this occasion the Christmas decorations placed at the front of the Palace are an exact replica of Puerto Plata’s park gazebo, with its characteristic lights, benches and colors.
