Scattered showers, cool temps, high waves at Atlantic coast

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers over several regions, from a trough near the Atlantic coast and temperatures as low as 21-C degrees Monday evening.

The showers with thunderstorms and gusts of wind are expected over all regions except the Southwest.

It also forecasts strong winds on the northern slopes of the Central Mountains, and, a significant increase in rainfall Wednesday night over the southwest, southeast and northeast, from the arrival of a new trough.

Onamet warns of rough maritime conditions along the Atlantic coast, with waves of over 8 feet, for which small craft should remain in port.
