175 undocumented Haitians arrested trying to cross the border

Santo Domingo.– Dominican Border (Cesfront) guards Sunday arrested 175 undocumented Haitians who tried to enter the Dominican territory through different points on the border in the northwestern town of Dajabon.

The CESFRONT said the Haitians –100 men, 50 women and 25 children– have been arrested in La Vigia, Dajabon, Don Miguel, Santiago de la Cruz and other border points of that municipality.

The detainees were taken to the CESFRONT headquarters in Dajabon; in coordination with immigration agents they will be returned to their country on Monday.
