Dominican Republic welcomes Pedro home

Santo Domingo.- Pedro Martinez’ mother Leopoldina, headed homecoming for the Baseball Hall of Famer Saturday, as she revealed the character she conveyed to make her son a a world pride.

"If you can’t you stand it you hold on, but I you come clean out of there," Leopoldina said in reference to the temptations which have derailed so many otherwise brilliant careers in the Majors.

"Thank God my son came out of there clean."
