Foreign minister meets with Elias Piña authorities to discuss new foreign policy
Santo Domingo.– Foreign Affairs minister Andres Navarro began this morning one of two workshops that he will hold on Saturday with public authorities and civil society representatives from Elias Piña and Dajabon provinces, along the border with Haiti .
As part of the agenda of both meetings, the participants analyze the social, economic and immigra situation, as well as security in those locations, in order to define the role the Foreign Ministry will play, facing the new foreign policy carried out by President Danilo Medina.
This is the second visit of the the minister to Elias Piña province. Navarro is accompanied by Deputy Foreign minister Alejandra Liriano, Consular and Immigration Affairs Deputy minister Nelly Perez, expert in DR-Haiti issues Alberto Despradel and Economic affairs deputy minister César Dargam.
