Canadian in Dream Casinos attempted murder scandal: seeks bond

Santo Domingo .- Lawyers for Canada national Antonio Carbone, charged with the attempted murder of Dream casinos manager Fernando A. Baez, asked the Supreme Court rule to on a challenge against the judges of National District Appellate Court’s 1st Penal Chamber.

The defense headed by Manuel Moquete motioned the court to reject the challenge of the judges, and hear the request to release the accused on bond.

Carbone claims he’s been "unfairly" detained in the prison at La Victoria on the attempted murder charge.

The prosecution claims that Carbone tried to murder Baez by having a firebomb hurled into his car in his house in December last year.
