Easter death toll at 30, mostly traffic accidents

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Monday said 30 people died during the Easter holidays, mostly in traffic accidents, or three fewer than in the same period a year ago.
COE director Juan Manuel Mendez said four people drowned and 26 were killed in collisions on the country’s roads.
In a press conference noon Monday, the official added that 249 were treated for alcohol overdose, including 35 children of ages between 3 and 17.
