Pope Francis, Dominican Republic bishops to meet in May

Santo Domingo.- Pope Francis will meet with Dominican bishops from 26 May to June 8, after the Vatican notified the Dominican Episcopal Conference bishops to attend the conclave.

Francis Pope will receive the senior prelates jointly, prior to an individual audience with each dioceses bishop.

The pontiff will hear the situation of Dominican Republic’s Catholic Church directly and then every bishop will render another report on their particular diocese.

The bishops should take advantage of the visit to render account on the moral and spiritual state of their diocese and everything related to the local government," the Vatican said.
