Spanish group to build US$85.0M hotel at Uvero Alto, Punta Cana

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) and Spain’s Martinón Group on Monday announced construction of a major hotel at Uvero Alto, Punta Cana (east), at a cost of US$85.0 million.

They said the new luxury hotel with 502 room will create more 700 jobs in the tourism sector.

CEI-RD director Jean A. Rodriguez and Martinón Group executives Enrique Martinón Armas and Enrique Martinón Garcia made the announcement after a National Palace meeting with president Danilo Medina, who was provided with the details and features of the new property.
