Two tremors 3.1, 3.2 magnitude shake northeast region

Santo Domingo.– A minor 3.2-magnitude tremor shook the northeastern region at 8:50 p.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geodetic Survey’s (USGS) Web site. No injuries or damages were reported.

The USGS placed the epicenter around 83 km N of Punta Cana, 89 km NNE of Salvaleon de Higuey and 108 km E of Santa Barbara de Samana, at a depth of 52 km.

Another tremor, of 3.1 magnitude, was also felt at 7:20 p.m. about 57 km NE of Punta Cana, 80 km ENE of Salvaleon de Higuey and 108 km ENE of Santa Cruz de El Seibo, at a depth of 76 km, the UGSG reported.
