Increasing cloudiness brings scattered showers

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts increasing cloudiness and scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms starting Monday noon, from a trough over the country.

It said the rains will be mostly over southern, central and Eastern provinces.

“A significant increase in cloudiness is expected in the next 24-48 hours due to the permanence of the trough, and moisture carried by the wind from the east / southeast, causing moderate showers that will be strong at times with thunderstorms and isolated gusts of wind towards the northwest regions, north, northeast, southwest, southeast, Central Mountains and border zone,” Onamet said.
