Agents seize 93 bricks at port, Santo Domingo North

Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Sunday said its agents seized 93 bricks of a white powder presumably cocaine or heroin during two searches, on in the Caucedo port and the other in Ciudad Modelo, Santo Domingo North.

It said it seized 83 packets of drug in coordination with Caucedo port security, hidden in two containers on a ship bound for Puerto Rico.

DNCD spokesman Dario Medrano said its agencies also seized 10 packages of drugs in a raid at a residence in Ciudad Modelo.

He said a woman who was at the site of the raid was arrested and charged and seek a man identified only as Remy, who allegedly forms part of an international criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking and money laundering.
