Major opposition party pacts electoral alliance

Santo Domingo.- Thecountry´s biggest opposition party (PRM) and the minority DxC on Sunday announcedan electoral alliance for next year´s polls, in a rally in which PRM presidentialcandidate Luis Abinader demanded transparency in the electoral process.

He and EduardoEstrella pledged to improve citizen security, health and national security, createjobs to reduce poverty, transparency and fight corruption, among others.

The PRM presidentialcandidate said with the DxC and other political forces will build a broad front which will oust "the predatory andunscrupulous government" headed by the ruling PLD party.
