New police chief asks civil society´s help to succeed

Santo Domingo.-National Police chief Nelson Peguero on Monday asked the support of civilsociety to have a successful tenure.

"I humblyrequest civil society´s cooperation and have the support from my comrades toshow our best side," tweeted the new police chief.

President DaniloMedina named Peguero chief of Police August 4 replacing Manuel Castro, who hadheld the post just over two years.
