UK envoy tours Haiti-Dominican border assess security

Dajabón, Dominican Republic.-A commission headed by the British ambassador Steven Fisher by toured the Haiti-Dominicanborder area by air to evaluate the security while the Dominican governmentconducts a program to legalize the mostly Haitian foreigners.
Fisher arrived inDajabón aboard a military helicopter accompanied by Defense Ministry supervisorSanto Domingo Guerrero; Border Security Corp (Cesfront) commander in Dajabón, SantiagoGomez and 10th Army Battalion commander Roberto Sosa, among other officials.
The commission touredthe border crossing and military posts, where they spoke with some authorities,including officials of the Immigration Agency at the local border crossing.
