US hospital ship to provide free medical services August 14-23

Santo Domingo.- The hospital ship USNS Comfort of the MilitarySealift Command will be docked off Santo Domingo coast from August 14 to 23 aspart of Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15) civic assistance program organized bythe US Navy and Dominican Republic´s Defense Ministry.

US military andcivilian personnel work during 10 days together with military personnel andDominican doctor to provide medical services of ophthalmology, dentistry,general medicine, pediatrics, cardiology and dermatology totally free of chargefor the Dominican people.

The hospitals selectedin coordination with the Health Ministry will provide care will be located inthe Parque del Este in the handball building and the Hermandad de Pensionados sector.
