Medina´s administration a lot of ´bull´: Lawmaker

Santo Domingo.- Independent deputy Minou Tavarez Mirabal on Sundaycalled president Danilo Medina´s administration is based on “propaganda,” andsees more “darkness than light” in his three years in office.

"This has been aGovernment basically with a lot of propaganda, which highlights the violationof constitutional and institutional procedures to impose the views of thepresident," she said, quoted by diariolibre.com.do.

The lawmaker saidmany of the austerity measures announced by Medina are "bull" becausewhile they´re touted, he allows corruptofficials who haven’t even filed their financial statement.

The also president ofthe Democratic Choice party, which held its national assembly over the weekend,said she´ll submit documents to the Central Electoral Board this week to requestrecognition.

Tavarez said herparty has already more than the 90,000 signatures the Electoral Board requires,and will formally present the new organization next Sunday.
