Hurricane Danny weakens to Cat. 2, beelines to Caribbean

Miami.- HurricaneDanny continues to weaken as the now Category 2 storm churns in the Atlantic Oceanon its beeline track to the Lesser Antilles.

The NationalHurricane Center in Miami said Saturday morning that Danny was still showingsigns of weakening.

It said Danny wastraveling west-northwest at 10 mph (16kph) with maximum sustained winds of 100mph (i60kph), located 740 miles (1,180 kilometers) east of the Leeward Islands.
