Ruling PLD party relies on unity to win 2016 elections

Santo Domingo.– Member of the Political Committee of the ruling PLD party Bautista Rojas said Thursday that in the true implementation of the agreement signed in May by that entity lies the unity that will lead the party to win the 2016 elections.

"I do not know why so much concern. We made a pact and the commitment we made was endorsed by the Central Committee and then by the Assembly of Delegates. Those who act outside the agreement are the ones who cause these anxieties," Rojas pointed out.

The official appeared this morning on the TV program Matinal 5 where he was questioned about the internal situation of the PLD. "The organization has already a candidate, President Danilo Medina, who was chosen unanimously by the Central Committee and the Assembly of Delegates."
