No proselytizing pronouncements by JCE staff

Santo Domingo.– Central Electoral Board (JCE) president Roberto Rosario Marquez bluntly banned all officials and employees of the electoral body to proselytize, but did not give details of the sanctions on those who violate the measure.

The call or prohibition is aimed specifically at the secretaries of the electoral boards, officers and employees of the JCE.

The staff is prohibited from making statements or references to proselytizing matters, using social media to express opinions on political issues, as well as sharing photos or messages referring to party organizations or candidates.
