Dominican commission to meet with merchants in Dajabon, Jimani

Santo Domingo.– Foreignminister Andres Navarro on Friday said the commission appointed by President Danilo Medina to travel to Haiti will meet first with merchants in Dabajon and Jimani in order to establish the country’s position.

He said that the ban on the overlandentry of 23 Dominican products, according to the Haitian government, was imposed to improve the collection of fees, and so organize its customs.

Navarro asked those in the country talking about this issue to wait for the dialogue and see what the results are. The diplomat acknowledged the right of Haiti to improve its tariff system.
