Top prosecutor defies court order on lawyer´s release, defense says

Santo Domingo.- Thedefense lawyers for attorney Diego –Babado- Torres on Monday said Justiceminister Francisco Dominguez refuses to release his client, in violation of a courtorder.

They said the officialis "defying" the order to release Torres issued by National District PermanentAttention Court judge Alejandro Vargas.

In a statement to themedia, the defense said they´ve filed for an injunction to obtain the releaseof their client, who´s charged with forging documents at Interpol to allegedlylift the international alert of reputed drug kingpin Jesus Pascual Cabrera Ruizand snf his wife Claribel Amparo, both fugitives.
