Prosecution of 3 of 5 ´mafia judges´ starts Nov. 27

Santo Domingo.- The SuperiorJudiciary Council set for Nov. 27 the hearing on disciplinary proceedingsagainst three of the five judges suspended for supposedly forming a mafia tomanipulate cases linked to organized crime, money laundering and drugtrafficking.

The Council will hearthe charges filed by the Justice Ministry against judges Rosso Vallejo, José Duvergéand Victor Mejia in the Supreme Court at 10am.

In the wake of an investigationconducted by the Justice Ministry, the Council suspended the judges AwildaReyes, Delio Germán and Francisco Valera without pay.
