National Police to increase patrols nationwide over Christmas season

Santo Domingo.– The National Police on Friday launched its "Christmas Peace: preventive interventions system" plan to bolster citizen safety measures nationwide, as the Government and the private sector’s bonuses, 13th salary and normal wages pump more than 15 billion pesos into the economy.

There’ll be more Police patrols especially in the metropolitan zone and major provinces’ shopping areas, residential zones and nightlife districts.

The National Police said 15,000 agents will be drummed into service in the first stage, with large scale logistical support to confront any contingency, from today until January 10.
