Dominican senator still leads ´most corrupt´ showdown

Santo Domingo.-Dominican senator Felix Bautista on Wednesday is till leading the international"greatest corruption" competition with 5,072 votes, hosted byTransparency International (TI).

The voting runs untilFebruary 9 on the unmaskthecorrupt.org website as part of the Germany-based organization´s"Expose the corrupt" campaign on the global the fight againsteconomic crimes in the public sector.

In the last few hours theruling PLD party senator from San Juan has clocked up more than 5,000 votes,followed by Petrobras with 3,597 cases and Ukrainian president ViktorYanukovich with 1,754.

According to thepolling Bautista allegedly became rich with Dominican taxpayers´ money and haspolitical connections which make him virtually untouchable.
